The test method is used to determine the extendibility and strain energy density (SED) of sealantsat low temperature. It can be used with unaged material or with material aged according to T 367.The test apparatus is designed for testing within the temperature range from -4 to -40°C.
This standard covers the determination of extendibility and percent modulus decay in hot-pouredasphalt crack sealant with the use of direct tension testing and by applying the tensile stress-straintest.
