This new document, published by NRC in collaboration with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, includes the amendments to Chapter I, Building, of the Construction Code, as well as an amended 2010 National Building Code of Canada (NBC). The amended NBC clearly indicates to readers the changes adopted by Quebec, which apply to the construction or renovation of buildings in that province.
This document contains Quebec-specific provisions that allow, subject to certain conditions, buildings of Group C or D, up to 6 storeys, to be of combustible construction.
