This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant nickel alloy in the form of wire.This wire has been used typically for springs and wire cloth requiring retention of spring properties up to 700 degrees F (371 degrees C) and corrosion resistance superior to that of the 18-8 type corrosion-resistant steels, but usage is not limited to such applications.
