This document defines the syntax and semantics for the carriage of SMPTE 291M Ancillary Data Packets inMPEG-2 Transport Stream PES packets. It supports ancillary data packets regardless of whether theyoriginate from an SD or HD interface, or if the ANC data packet is from VANC or HANC, Y or C space.Sufficient information is provided to enable the ANC packets at the output of the decoder to be restored totheir "original" locations in the serial digital video signal.
