This method covers the apparatus, test specimens and procedure for determining the green strength of compacted powder metallurgy specimens by subjecting them to a uniformly increasing transverse loading under controlled conditions. The green strength, as used in this standard, is the stress, calculated from the flexure formula, required to break the powder metallurgy compact as a simple beam.
