This method is for determining aluminum and/or silicon in fresh silica-alumina supported catalysts of known composition by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES). The method is suitable for aluminum determination over a range of 1 to 53 mass-%, and silicon determination over a range of 1 to 47 mass-%.
